Having worked with Brazilian musicians for many years as a guitarist, John Zaradin wrote a series of fourteen influential articles exemplifying and illustrating what he had learned from his musical experiences. These were published in the magazine "Guitar International" between August 1983 and February 1985 under the title of "Images of Brazil", and are reproduced here:-
